My Robinhood portfolio

I started my Robinhood account just over a year ago when I was looking for a commission free option.  I already had one brokerage account with a bigger company, but they were still charging commissions at that time so I was basically costing myself money.  I heard a lot about Robinhood and the fact that they offered a free stock for just signing up and the ability to earn more through referrals, worst case if I signed up and didn't like it I could close the account and take my free stock with me.

I signed up for Robinhood and got my free stock.  I was lucky enough to receive a share of Berkshire Hathaway valued  $203.25, so needless to say I was excited about that.  Pretty much a free $200 just for signing up.  I then linked a bank account and was able to make an initial deposit in a matter of minutes that I was allowed to start investing before the funds had even cleared the bank.  At this point I made a couple of trades and just kind of let the account sit.

Then the market crashed because of COVID 19 and I saw the opportunity to buy low so I went back to Robinhood ready to get serious about growing my investment portfolio.  Over the past month I have been putting what ever extra money I can into the account to buy as much as I can while the prices are low.

Let's take a look at my portfolio as it sits right now based on closing prices as of today:
Robinhood Account Value
Current Portfolio Value
Overall as you can see my account is still in the green, but mostly because of one stock that has more than doubled in value, but you can still see the hit the market crash had on the value.

Below is the list of stocks that I currently own and just about all of them pay a dividend.  Growth stocks are nice but passive income for dividends is an added bonus.

Current Stocks Owned
I look forward to watching some or all of these stocks return or approach their pre-crash value and if so I could see a nice bump in my portfolio value.  I hope that you will check back to see my progress.
